So Sky+ turned out to be well worth getting. Astonishingly easy to use, really is one of the nicest interfaces I have ever used. Pausing and rewinding live TV is very weird but great, that is going to be so handy for sport n suchlike. The only downside I can see thus far is that it would be better with a much much bigger hard drive, but its not bad still. 250-300gb would be fantastic though 
Will really need to get that DVD recorder at some stage, will let me copy stuff off easily. In fact, if I do, I could probably do with a printer to let me do nice covers for the DVDs. Hmmm *plots*
