From today’s WTCC race 2 at Pau. The officials decided to put out the safety car, but didn’t warn the drivers in time. Luckily everyone involved was okay. This is what followed:

I’m about to lose any fanboy credibility whatsover by the end of this sentence, when I admit that I still watch both Lost and Heroes, and enjoy them. I kind of put it down to my love of Twin Peaks, which I feel means I have far more patience with inexplicable plot twists and a [...]

Saw this for the first time on 120 minutes on MTV2 at the weekend. Great place to discover good music you’ve missed and should know about in general.

Great band I’m glad to have heard, love the lo-fi sound. Worth looking through their other videos, they’ve done some interesting stuff. The Smiling Assassin should particularly have [...]

Thanks to the Wrestling Bard for this tip, via their Favourite Matches of the Year list. It’s a fantastic match with a load of moves I’ve just never seen before. I think it’s the combinations of finishers towards the end that did it for me, just haven’t seen that used so well before. The match [...]

A set of early 80s TV commercials promoting the excitement of playing Atari VCS. You have Morecambe and Wise, and also in one instance Trevor Brooking. So many things I love brought together in a few short clips. And Trevor Brooking. See them echo the I’m a Mac/I’m a PC with the boring technophobe Ernie [...]

Today brought some great news, a new series of Flight of the Conchords will be on HBO in January. This is the trailer:

I don’t yet know when it will be on the BBC, hopefully not too long afterwards. If you haven’t seen it yet, it is shown on BBC4 every so often, or you could [...]

It’s been said that people in America are turning to the Daily Show and the Colbert Report for real insight into current events at the moment. But to TNA as well? Possibly one of the strangest things you’ll see on a [...]

Giant Lego Man washed ashore in Zandvoort

A similar giant Lego man has recently washed ashore in Brighton, here is the arrival of one in Zandvoort. I think two counts as some sort of invasion myself.

Of course the most important issue following the floods in Oxford has not been how those people affected are rebuilding their lives, it has been the search for the Osney Bum Groper:

Now the police are trying to trace him so they can fine him.

This is great. Brian Haw's protest has been transformed into art and that art itself forms a fresh protest.
Just have a lot of respect for the protester Brian Haw, and it is great to see his protest living on like this.
